The importance of SEO and ranking high on Google
This article is about how to start affiliate marketing, but SEO is the centerpiece of my teachings.
It doesn’t really matter what it is you want to do: Affiliate marketing, CPA, Clickbank, Amazon, or Blogging.
If you master SEO and ranking high any page on Google, you will make a limitless amount of money.
Because everyone uses Google, and it’s not like they can hide your 1st page Google rankings using AdBlocker browser plugins.
Once you are on the first page of Google, everyone’s eyeballs are on your article or video.
- Affiliate marketing – Rank your articles high and make money by promoting other products.
- CPA – Rank your YouTube videos high and make money with other offers.
- Blogging – Rank your blog high on Google and make money with AdSense.
Whatever you do, you will need SEO skills. And once you acquire those skills, you will never have to worry about money.
You put out anything on top of Google, it will make you money constantly, because you are the first page of Google, people will click on your website once they are searching for something on Google.
Just give it time
The only downside is time. It takes a while to rank your pages high on Google, but once you are there, you are there for a long time, and money starts flowing inconsistently, and the better the money keywords you choose, the more money you will make.
Our main concern here is how to rank high on Google, that’s our problem.
I will teach you how to solve that problem.
So that when you master SEO, it will be up to you how to make money: Affiliate marketing, CPA, Amazon, Clickbank, or Blogging.
You will be able to rank any page on Google.
This method works and will continue to work in the future.
I am here to provide my knowledge and experience. So one day, when you make a ton of money like I do, using the techniques shown in this article, you too will share your success and give back to society, so they too can benefit from your knowledge, and the world will be at least a little bit better place to live in.
How To Make Money With Affiliate Marketing And CPA
What is affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is an easy concept to learn, but it can be a bit overwhelming if you are new to it.
So that you fully understand the information in the article, let me tell you what affiliate marketing really is and how to start affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is when you try to earn money by placing an affiliate link on your website or YouTube channel etc and have people purchase the product through your link.
An affiliate is a person or business who promotes a product or service offered by other businesses, and you become an affiliate when you promote an affiliate product.
Conversion is when a person completes a specific action designed by an affiliate program.
You can share an affiliate link with your audience in many different ways, such as by adding an affiliate link to your website, promoting it on social media, YouTube, or sharing it in a podcast, and more.
But, why would a company be interested in affiliate marketing?
Many companies like this option because they spend a lot of money on advertisements that don’t convert well. With affiliate marketing, they only pay when they get a sale or lead.
What this article is about?
In this article, we will learn how to start affiliate marketing, first, we’re going to create a broad niche Authority website and become Amazon affiliates.
Our website will be a review type of website that will earn us commissions.
We will pick a niche, do keyword research, and write review types of articles.
Meaning that we will not go for general informational articles, we will do keyword research and write articles targeting only and only ready buyers.
Not someone who is wandering around but someone who is just looking for a proper review that will finally trigger him or her to click on our Amazon affiliate link and buy the product in question.
Why affiliate marketing is great
Affiliate marketing is great for many reasons:
1. Affiliate marketing is passive income
Affiliate income is great because you can create a post and that post will earn you money years down the line. With minimum work needed to maintain it.
2. Less work than creating your own product
Affiliate marketing isn’t easy, but there are things that you don’t have to worry about when comparing affiliate marketing versus creating your own product.
You don’t have to do things that product owners usually do. Your problem is to find traffic to your posts, that problem will be solved with SEO.
3. Affiliate marketing is affordable
The affordability of affiliate marketing is another reason, it is a great way to grow your income.
You don’t even need a website, you can create your videos and make money on youtube.
If you do decide to have a website, that can also be very relatively affordable too. Because starting a website doesn’t have to cost a lot of money.
4. Get paid for promoting products you believe in
Why not get paid for telling others about the products that you love. Plus if you truly enjoy a product it will be easy to promote.
If the product has helped you it will probably help others as well and people will appreciate your honesty.
5. You can work from anywhere
One of the best benefits of affiliate marketing is that you can do it from anywhere with a laptop and internet, that’s all you need.
Cheapest and effective way to Amazon affiliate wealth
I will show you the entry to the cheapest and the most effective way to Amazon’s affiliate marketing world.
Some investment is required, but a lot of people get discouraged with Amazon Affiliate marketing because to enter this business they think they will need to spend a lot of money on SEO tools. Or they simply don’t want to deal with SEO because it seems too complicated for them.
No, actually you don’t need a lot of money to start Amazon affiliate program but SEO is indeed complicated.
And one more thing that stops people from making money with the Amazon affiliate program is that they think that they will need to write a lot of articles every day and every night. They will need to come up with an article that hopefully will generate some commissions, no you won’t be needing to write a lot of articles.
I will show you the way to make thousands of dollars per month by just posting 10. Yes, it’s only 10 articles a year!!
Why Amazon affiliate program?
Affiliate marketing allows you to make money online, even if you don’t have to own the products you’re selling.
You may wonder why Amazon? They give up to 10% of commissions wherein in other affiliate marketing marketplaces we can get it 50% up.
Well, I’ll tell you, it may not be as exciting but it has a competitive advantage over other marketing websites and it is simply its name “Amazon” and by hearing the sound this site converts really high.
It may take thousands of new visitors to buy one of the 50% commission products.
Statistically, it takes 30 to 40 clicks to buy one product on Amazon. You know why? Because Amazon has trust, other affiliate websites don’t trust converts in a buyer. No trust will hardly do. All you need here is to find traffic.
Write a persuasive review article to get your traffic to convert and once your visitor clicks on the Amazon affiliate link, you then let Amazon do its job, your cookies are placed for 24 hours, no matter what your visitor buys you will get the commissions.
What do you need to start your journey to wealth?
1. WordPress Website- Themes
To start affiliate marketing, you don’t need the most beautiful WordPress theme out there, they are too complicated.
Load and reload time will be longer, the speed of your website will be slower, and this hurts user experience and that’s one of the points why Google lowers your rankings.
You don’t want that thing to happen, you want to rank high.
If the website load and reload speed is fast, typically within 3 seconds, Google will not penalize your site.
I’m sure by the end of the article you will have an idea of what kind of website theme you will need.
But if WordPress themes are expensive for you, you don’t need to worry about it too much. I got you covered here as well.
If you need a theme just message me and I will see what I can do for you.
2. Domaine name & Hosting
Your domain name can help put you on the fast track to business success. So, knowing what makes for a good domain name matters.
Finally, make haste. Domain names sell fast, but most are affordable, so get your favorite domain registered before someone else beat you to it.
Bluehost – FREE DOMAIN when You Buy Hosting
One of the biggest factors of your website speed- it is of course HOSTING, that’s number one.
If you’re creating your first website, you don’t have any experience at all, you need to purchase hosting and a domain at the same time, then Bluehost is an ideal fit for you.
Bluehost is one of the best hosts for those just getting started online, and it is actually recommended by WordPress.
When you purchase one of their hosting packages you’ll actually be set up with a FREE DOMAIN name and SSL security.
Setting up BlueHost
1. Go to the official website of Bluehost and click the “Get Started” button.
2. Choose a package for hosting service
There are three common options, the $2.95 / mo option will be just fine if you’re just starting out.
3. Choose your FREE domain name
Bluehost plans include a free domain name service. Whatever you want your website to be called, you can enter it here and see if it’s available, and then you can click the next button.
4. Complete the account creation process on the next page
5. Access your account
The next few steps will direct you to create your password before beginning with anything else. Make sure to create a secure password!
After selecting your password, click the “Login” button. This will direct you to select a theme for your WordPress blog.
3. Sign up for the Amazon affiliate program
How to sign up for Amazon affiliate program and Grab your own Affiliate Links:
All of this can be done by installing plugins. Lots of tutorials on how to create them on YouTube as well.
The plugins that I use:
- WPForms: Contact page.
- W3 Total Cache: Cache cleaning tool.
- Clicky by Yoast: Analytics tool plugin, better than Google Analytics.
- Sucuri: Website security.
- WP Smush: Image optimization, It decreases image size without decreasing quality.
- UpdraftPlus: Back up your site.
- Tablepress: This allows you to create tables with ease. I am using this plugin to create all of my tables.

- SEO by Yoast: This Will help you optimize your on-page SEO and analyze your articles.
How to start affiliate marketing
What type of review site are we creating? Let me tell you what kind of review website we are going to create, the one that I did is a “top 10 list” type of website.
This article will be minimal 2000 words you’re going to have to create a very detailed review article in your niche product because you only need to do it once a year.
And Google in fact loves articles that are huge and very detailed.
Here’s how to start affiliate marketing in 4 Steps:
1. Find your niche
Choosing a niche isn’t a difficult task if you know what you’re looking for and what you love doing.
You could choose something that you’re very passionate about. You could be a tech enthusiast and love to read the latest tech posts and you have subscribed to a lot of tech reviewers on YouTube.
So, after choosing your niche, let’s assume it’s tech, you set your mind to write about computer accessories and the latest gadgets.
Now you move forward to choose product categories as I mentioned earlier it’s not the specific niche site, it is actually going to be the “top 10 list” authority website.
But you have to make sure that the products you choose better cost 40$ minimum. And I would also add that they should not cost more than 500$.
Minimum 40$ for products that have at least 5000 to 10000 searches per month, and for more expensive products like 150$ and up to 500$, have at least 500 to 1000 searches a month.
You may ask, why shouldn’t target products that cost more than 500$, because potential buyers plan to take a longer time for a purchase decision they may go into your website and read your article, but if something cost a lot of money for them, they may even click on your Amazon affiliate link.
They will probably take more than 24 hours to decide whether it is time to make an expensive purchase.
Meaning that after 24 hours your cookies will disappear and you will not make any money when he finally decides on the purchase he may even weeks or even months to finally go and place this expensive order.
2. Choose a product category
The first thing you have to do is to find the main broad categories in which you can find your niche related products.
To find categories you head over to AliExpress categories, you might be wondering why not Amazon departments?
See how well organized and detailed these categories are.
That is why when I want a product category I jump towards AliExpress.
So, all categories fall under Tech niche, you don’t go further deep inside because you can choose one or 10 of those categories and write one article for each category, while planning for your own authority website you choose 10 categories to write in.
Even before choosing your domain name you can do what I did and do five high competition categories and five low competition categories.
Because I wanted to compete with some big giants or you could choose 10 or 20 low competition and it just traffic you will be receiving won’t be much but you will rank high on Google very easily for low competition keywords.
3. The key of this strategy
The key of this strategy is keyword research. Now it’s time for keyword research, analyzing the competition and see how much monthly searches we will get.
I always follow this pattern to generate the keyword:
- Best + [Product Category] + [year]
- Best Budget + [Product Category] + [year]
- Best + [Product Category] + [Country]
Or is instead of best you could use: Top 10, Top Quality, Affordable, Cheapest, Cheap, Comparison, Review.
Don’t be thrown off by terms like cheap and affordable, believe it or not, keywords with the words like “Cheap” convert really well.
For example, someone searching for cheap laptops has already decided that they want the laptop, they are just looking for a product in their price range.
For this example, I found a very good website: 10beasts.com, it’s got a simple WordPress theme.
When you look at this website you will not think that this website gets a lot of hungry buyers.
I mean look at it how could it compete with big Amazon affiliates like PCWord.com or Cnet.com but trust me I will soon show you that this website does compete with big guys in the industry for high Google rank spot, and high Google rank spot generates thousands of dollars for hungry buyer keywords.
So, I did some research on this website for the purpose of real life examples and I found that he ranks really high for these keywords: “Best wireless router 2016” and “best 3D pen”.
Let me show you how Pro marketers approach the whole thing and what makes our simple sites compete with big sharks like Cnet and PCWorld and rank so high for hungry keywords that target and attract those who want to buy products not just read.
How do you go about finding hungry buyer keywords?
Follow this process:
You found a niche product category you want to write about and you want to check what kind of exact hungry buyer keywords out there on the Google database.
Go to the Google planner tool and do the keyword research there. And if we know what people want or need, we will try to satisfy them by providing them with what they want or need.
All I see is a potential to unlimited profits. The money is just laying around. You will only need to have to pick it up.
To pick it up you need to bend and this process of bending in real life is called “put in the actual work”.
I guarantee you if you put in work this will make you thousands of dollars a month.
So, let’s dive back into the process: we have a niche/product in mind, and let’s say we chose “router table“.
We add the word “best” to the product category and search “best router table review“.
Keywords are all pulled out from Google’s database, your job is to look for some keywords to have a potential that will make you money as soon as possible.
Now I found something that I personally would pursue “best router table review”.
I’m pretty sure that this keyword is very hard to rank for, it definitely has some big players on the first page of Google. So, I’ll show you how I first started with affiliate marketing and building my authority website from scratch.
How to use Google keyword planner
Copy this keyword and go to Google keyword planner, past it and get ideas and find out that this is a high competition keyword, then you say OK, we didn’t think that it was going to be high competition keyword.
OK, there might be medium or low competition keywords as well. If you look around and find this low competition keyword like “best router table 2019”.
Now we do more in-depth competition analysis, most of the review articles on the first page of Google are huge, in-depth articles explaining everything and they go really in-depth, it’s no surprise that they do, Google loves detailed in-depth articles.
So we must be doing the same thing- writing a very detailed review of your top 10 list product category, otherwise, your competition will beat you.
Next, we check for Backlinks. We are under budget and we don’t have much to spend on SEO tools that are extremely expensive. We use these free websites to check their backlinks:
As you can see there is almost nothing pointing to their page for the keyword we want to rank for.
Awesome, it means we can outrank or at least rank as high as our competition for that keyword.
We found out that the keyword we want to rank for isn’t their biggest priority.
They didn’t build any backlink to these particular articles and that’s where we step in, we found an opportunity, we found a place that can be ranked on the first page of Google.
Yes, it may take some time to rank for it, since we’re going to have to build backlinks to our URLs with review article: “best router table 2019”, but the time spent will be worth it because even though our competition is strong, the article that they put out that will compete against ours.
This particular article of these guys isn’t going to be as powerful as ours, our article will outperform theirs because we’re going to give such care to each and every single article of ours, they are going to be very hard to beat.
Most of the time you will encounter strong competition on your targeted keyword. Pretty much every niche, product category on Amazon is occupied by somebody else.
It’s really rare for you to find hungry buyers keyword minimum 1000 searches a month, that are low competition.
The trick is that amateurs will get discouraged by seeing high competition in the keyword planner tool, and Pros will know to find the right keyword even though it’s high competition, but not too high and very beatable competition.
So, the trick is to dig in and do in-depth research on your competition, just like I demonstrated earlier, I found high competition keyword “best router table 2019” but it was still possible to beat.
The competition was high but it was high because their root domains had some quality backlinks. It’s not that their article is strong, it hasn’t got any quality backlink pointing towards it.
So, if we write an awesome and very detailed review article just like our competition, build quality backlinks pointing to this article, not to our domain but to this particular article, Google is a robot, not a human it will always reward those that fall into their SEO ranking rules.
And the rule state that no matter how good your root domain is, no matter how good the backlinks pointed it to your root domain are, if a particular page on your website isn’t as good as your competitor’s page who’s got quality backlinks pointed to that particular page your competition will outrank you.
Of course, you also need to write a very detailed article and do on-page SEO. But to be able to outrank your competition, I will guide you through these things as well, quality backlinks are one of the most if not the most important thing in SEO.
Fast way to analyze your competition
So, you’re still in the process of determining whether the keyword is worth going after or not?
Previously I showed you how to analyze the competition the hard way because I wanted you to know that in-depth competition analysis which is something that you must know as well.
You saw the websites and the individual articles of your competition. If the competition was simple looking WordPress sites, the owners of the websites are probably folks like me and you.
For this fast way analyzing, you download “MOZ” toolbar for your browser.
Once you download and sign up for free and all set, you’re going to have a quick look at how strong these competitors’ websites and pages are.
Now, you’re going to analyze PA (page authority) and DA (domain authority) of top 10 rankings.
Now, we have to realize that you’re probably going to have a brand new website and your PA and DA will be zero, and you may be discouraged by seeing that your competitors are way ahead of you and you will never get on top 10.
Don’t discourage by that even though your competitors are strong, but they are still beatable.
The previous in-depth research proved that these guys are most likely working alone on the website.
Because their websites don’t seem to look like those big players websites like PCMag.com or Cnet.com.
They’re pretty simple, these guys are like us trying to make a buck from commissions.
Meaning they are beatable or at least we can rank on the first page of Google. At least we can be really close to them.
Pay close attention on PA
By looking at the first 4 or 5 search results, you will probably get confused because previous in-depth research revealed that these pages didn’t have backlinks, but MOZ toolbar says they do.
And when you click to see these backlinks, MOZ says there are not any backlinks to these pages.
This happens because most of the time these backlinks were probably some blog comments or social media shares, the owners of these articles did after posting review articles, these backlinks are probably not as powerful backlinks.
If there were some quality backlinks pointed to this page, MOZ would show them.
And here I found a few pages that are ranking with PA even less than 14.
It’s a good sign for us because once we have very good in-depth review articles, we will build some quality backlinks so these review articles that you will rank for.
Do this all the time, don’t pay too much attention on DA, pay close attention on PA.
Nowadays, Google Keyword planner has become a pain to get “Exact Search Volume” data, it doesn’t show much unless you run a campaign and spend money on it.
Get a proper paid SEO tool for your keyword research and competition analysis can help you.
Because without it you will end up choosing a buyer intent keyword that is either tough to rank or/and not worth going after.
SEMrush is one of the most essential tools ever based on SEO tactics.
The tool is used to analysis competitors, site audit, advertising in site, checking traffic, backlinks, and much more important aspects.
This is one of the best ways to research and get the idea, and what strategy you need to follow up to improve your ranking.
Content structure is something which decides your conversion rate, user time on page, and bounce rate.
You need to take care of both of these because you don’t have any choice. One is sending you visitors and the other one is filling your pockets.
1. Article introduction
The introduction of your article is very important since it will affect your visitor’s behavior.
Visitors will either stick around and continue reading or hit the back button and leave.
So, you have to make sure that the introduction of the articles is good enough.
2. Comparison table
A comparison table is great when it comes to conversion, just right after the introduction, include a simple yet powerful comparison table.
Check the plugin link if you want to download it on your WordPress website.
So, most of your visitors don’t have the time to read your complete article, what they needed is to try to find a table which lists all the products you’re reviewing in that specific article.
3. Detailed reviews
If you want to rank on the 1st page of Google, make sure that you write the most complete, detailed, and in-depth review on the products which convert into sales.
How to do that? Let me explain here,
Review heading: Explain why you included that product. Chances are that your visitor is looking for a specific product are very high. So, try to explain that in your title which audience that product is good for.
Link your images to Amazon: People love to click around once they are on your website. Make sure the images included are being hotlinked to their Amazon product page using your Amazon ID.
Explain what is wrong in your product: This is very important. You don’t keep praising every product you review, point out the bad factors in that specific product, this helps to build trust in a reader, and generate more sales.
Pros & Cons
Before closing up the review, you always include the Pros and Cons of that product. Your article will look more professional and your visitor will trust you more.
So, be prepared to write a minimum of 10,000-word articles. You don’t need many articles, but those 10 you write must be huge.
4. Buyer’s guide
Giving value to your visitors will improve your conversion and make way more money.
Google will see that you are the go-to resource about the topic and products are covering. Plus, it will help you to rank for other keywords that you never thought of ranking for.
And the more keywords you rank for, the more traffic and ultimately the more commission you will get.
Is very important and that is why you have to add related posts manually at the end of each of your articles.
It helps a lot to pass the links juice to other pages.
Driving traffic to our site
It is very important that your website is user friendly.
Website speed is one of the most important factors in Google’s algorithm.
If it hurts the user experience, slow loading time- longer than 5 seconds, you will get penalized.
1. On-Page SEO
It’s time to optimize your articles for the first audience- the search engine robots.
You target only one main keyword which is “best product category + year” since you’re going to write an in-depth article.
By reading the full infographic below, you can review 12 success factors which will affect how your website is ranked by search engines.
Google valuers backlinks because they view backlinks as a vote for your website, the more high-quality votes you have pointed to your website or page that you want to rank for, the better your rankings will be.
So, the higher the rankings the more affiliate sales you will get.
Quality backlinks are links that come from high-authority sites and sites that are relevant to your niche.
Usually, we measure quality based on these 2 important metrics like DA and trust flow.
3. Link building strategy that works in 2020
The first way to build backlinks is called the Guestographic method. Basically, it is a combination of two words guess and infographic.
You share an infographic that you made in your review article to authority websites in your niche.
Then email these webmasters of authority websites saying that you saw their article about the topic your infographic is about, you basically are offering value for them and it’s proven that infographics are loved by everyone and their audience might like as well.
You offer a text introduction that goes with an infographic and this text intro will contain a link back to your website. That’s how you get a backlink.
There is no better person in explaining the whole process of Guestographic than its originator.
So, just watch this video and he’ll explain the whole process from A to Z. For an infographic, go sign up for a free account on canva.com and do it yourself.
Now I’d like to show you the other way to build your Backlinks.
Although it requires a bit of money, it is a paid service, but when you start making some money on your affiliate journey, I highly recommend using that tool.
This is something that will help you to build high-quality Backlinks really fast, faster than any other method available on the web.
And the tool I’m talking about is Powtoon. It is a software that produces high-quality explainer videos with unique cartoon characters.
The videos are very engaging and professional-looking, they grab people’s attention and make them stick to watch the whole video until the end.
I will say that these videos attract much more attention than infographics.
They cost a lot of money if you order it on fiverr or other freelance websites.
And when you’re building Backlink trying to bribe authority websites with your explainer video for an opportunity to get Backlinks from them, the explainer videos are even more persuasive than infographics.
I promise you, you will get double more link opportunities than guestographics.
How much does it cost to sign up for Powtoon?
There is a free version of Powtoon. But what you can do with it, is pretty much nothing.
So, you would have to sign up for a Pro version that costs $19/month. You can sell these explainer videos on Fiverr as a service, and your money back pretty quick.
In fact when you get 3 big orders, each order $150 – $200, it will get $500 – $600 a month.
This tool isn’t hard to learn, they have all the tutorials on the site. You don’t have to buy a course to become a professional on explainer videos, easy to use.
Increase your chances in ranking high to 1000%
I told you to look at the page and domain authority of the competition, and if the average page authority is higher than 30-35, I told you to move on to the next keyword, but there are a few exceptions on that rule I’d like to talk about.
So, when you find a keyword that your competition doesn’t answer the question, you step in and write a quality article. That’s the beauty of Google’s new changes.
Google gradually improving their robots to understand the article better and better.
Google doesn’t only look at the content relevancy but domain relevancy as well. I will teach you the secret to outrank even those big sharks in any niche.
Instead of targeting 10 keywords and 10 different product categories on your website, you target only one keyword that makes a lot of money (ex. wireless speakers). You could increase your chances of ranking high to 1000%.
So, instead of doing 10 articles a year about 10 different product categories within one niche, you dedicate your website and time to one keyword only.
Google considers you as an authority when your website and all the webpages in your site talk about one keyword only.
How to Make a Full Time Income With Affiliate Marketing
If you have an online presence, whether it’s a website, an email list, or social media pages, you’ve probably heard of the term “passive income“.
For those who have never heard of it, it’s nothing less than money coming in while you sleep at night.
Most of us all make the same mistake in the beginning. We tell ourselves that since it’s passive, we don’t have to work, so it’s easy.
Let’s get started. You start a blog about your passion and add Google AdSense advertising. You’ve got the perfect package!
A few months later, you realize that your SEO strategy is not as effective as you would have hoped.
Yes, you have some traffic, but not enough to generate enough revenue with PPC (pay per click).
However, it was your friend “who knows about the web” who suggested it to you!
Well, he should have told you about affiliate marketing.
What is affiliate marketing and how does it work?
Affiliate marketing allows you to promote someone else’s products & services to your audience and earn a commission on sales.
You’re the one who has web traffic and is looking to monetize that traffic.
This can be through your site, your social media pages, or your email list.
If you decide not to go directly through the company, you can join an affiliate network that normally has a directory of hundreds, if not thousands of companies.
There are many and I am sure there is at least one with an offer in your niche.
Finally, we have the consumer, an individual targeted by your ads. When he clicks on your affiliate link, a cookie is installed in his browser.
If the duration of the cookie is 30 days (the duration varies for each seller) and the user buys the product/service within those 30 days, you get a commission on the sale.
5 Steps to Make a Full-Time Income With Affiliate Marketing
You can actually turn affiliate marketing from a side business into a full-time career:
1. Build Your Credibility
Before buying a product, consumers love to look for reviews, unbiased sources, and people who have experience with the product or the service.
If someone actually feels that they come across someone that they can trust and recommends this product, then they’re more willing to buy it.
So, you want to make sure that you’re building some credibility, you’ll be able to sell more of that product.
2. Choose The Right Niche
If you want to make affiliate marketing a full-time income, then choosing the right niche is very essential.
A good niche is one that you have some experience in. You want to make sure to be the product of the product and make sure that you know what you’re talking about.
3. Diversify Your Content
You know we all learn differently. So, whether it’s doing a video, writing a blog post, or even podcasting, you want to make sure that you’re diversifying your content so that you’re able to reach more people.
You can even do a live stream video and repurpose it online.
You can have it transcribed and written to a blog post, have it converted into audio, and make it to a podcast. There you go, you’re having one piece of content being able to diversify all over the Internet.
4. Choose The Right Affiliate Programs
If you want to create a stable online income and make this a full-time job, then you want to make sure that you have a product that has a great foundation and reoccurring revenue.
The magic key right there is if you’re able to sell a product that you’re getting payments for on a monthly reoccurring basis, that almost helps you create more of a stable income.
Also, promote a product that has high commissions.
A lot of programs, if you’re a beginner, like Amazon will be a lower commission but if you’re promoting a product that has 40% or even higher, then you can make a lot more money.
5. Stay Innovative
The Internet is always changing. So, it’s great that you are on top of your game and promoting yourself as the credible expert in your niche.
How to find affiliate offers on the web
Sometimes people have a clear idea of the products & services to be promoted because that’s what they use in everyday life. So there is a good chance that it will also interest their audience.
To find these products & services, simply do a Google search for “affiliate program + company name + product name”
Chances are that if the company has an affiliate program, they will have a page that explains how to become an affiliate.
Some companies decide to insert this page in the footer of their site, while other companies decide not to index this page.
Be aware that all affiliate programs and affiliate networks are free to join.
7 ways to promote your affiliate links
The seller or affiliate network will give you a URL link.
According to the restrictions and terms of service of the sellers and affiliate networks, you promote the products & services.
There are many ways to promote an offer, here are a few of them:
The best-known way is to insert a link in a blog text.
The advantage is that you can put your selling points throughout the text without it appearing because you give the reader the content they want.
2- Review / Best of
“Review” & “best of” websites abound on the web and it’s a great way to do affiliate marketing.
Many of these websites are affiliated with Amazon.
Coupons work because people are always looking for ways to save money.
4- Push Notification
A push notification is a message you receive on your phone, tablet, or computer.
For example, if a new product is launched or a new blog post is published.
And why not put an affiliate link that leads to a landing page?
5- Search Engines
You can appear on Google for free, thanks to SEO strategies. It may take a few months to a few years before it appears in the first search results, but once it’s done, it’s very rewarding.
The good thing about Google is that people are looking for specific information, often a solution to their problem.
So it can pay off to put affiliate links in it because the user’s intention is great.
6- Email Marketing
The email list is one of the oldest marketing methods on the web, but it remains the one that converts the most.
It may require a greater investment when you have a lot of subscribers, but it’s worth it because it’s still a great way to turn a reader into a buyer.
7- Social Media
Facebook is still a very good platform to promote products & services.
Social media is the source of traffic that fluctuates the most because they respond to current trends and because platforms are free to do whatever they want.
So, I advise you not to rely only on social networks, because in the end, the traffic does not belong to you.
How to maximize your chances to convert as an affiliate
Now that you know where to put the affiliate URL, here are some tips that might help you increase your revenue.
Submit Affiliate Offers That Your Readers Needs
Let’s take again the example of the Moment lens. The blogger on photography and videography with smartphones could promote the lens of Moment AND also raincoats. Yes, raincoats, because his blog often talks about outdoor activities and he likes to take pictures & videos of animals in nature, rain, or shine.
Don’t limit yourself only to what you talk about, but think about everything your audience might need (related to your niche of course).
Build a Sales Funnel
No matter where and how you present the product & service, you may need to add selling points to get it converted.
To do this, you can add a landing page to your sales Funnel.
If after clicking on your link, it takes him directly to the buying page, he might turn back because he is not convinced enough.
So, the user can click on your link and then bounce to a capture page and then the buying page.
Tell a True Story
Tell about a problem you have experienced in relation to the product & service, mentioning that the solution is the said product & service.
Offer a Discount
The fact that they buy from you may give them an advantage over others, such as a 10% discount.
Remember that the goal is to monetize your traffic, so you shouldn’t rely only on leads, but rather on conversions.
Until now, you must have used very friendly language with your audience. This is normal because you didn’t have a sales intent behind it.
Now you will have to keep this language, but sell something without it appearing. That’s the marketer’s job. That’s what you become.
You want to be the one we can confide in our problems and who brings us real solutions.
Since you already have your traffic and becoming an affiliate is free, it would be very simple to become an affiliate starting with just one product & service today.
13 Easy Steps to Create and Sell eBooks Online
If you intend to create and sell ebooks online, you’ve come to the right place! Online courses offer an excellent opportunity, for those who wish to work on the internet, to generate income from their knowledge and skills.
Through these ebooks, it is possible to create a business and even work on your own, as many people wish!
In this article, I’ll walk you through how to create your ebook and finish with the different ways to sell it on the web.
Do You Know About Ebooks?
The ebook is a book in digital format, which can be read on any electronic device, such as a computer, smartphone, e-reader (digital book reader), or tablet. They can also be printed and read like a traditional book.
They have great potential to generate new business, and they are very simple to produce.
Read this article to learn how to create an ebook to sell on the web!
1. Adopt The Ebook On Your Content Strategy
Ebooks are more complete than a blog post and, therefore, they are very useful to educate your audience about you and to show what kind of problem you can solve with your product.
When you deliver valuable content to your reader, you reinforce your authority on the subject.
2. Define The Theme of The Ebook
Choosing the theme is one of the most important steps in the process of creating your digital book. It is important that your ebook is about something that you master and can easily teach, thus conveying more credibility to the reader.
The chosen market niche must also have enough demand to guarantee a good volume of sales and make your investment worthwhile. Use tools such as Google Trends and Semrush to find out which themes are most sought after in the segment you want to act on. This can be a tip for the most common customer issues.
Don’t forget to access the sites that are on the top of the search results to see how they handle the topic and think of ways to differentiate your content and deliver even more comprehensive material for your audience.
Another strategy is to use your blog data (if you have one) to find out what topics your audience is looking for to get to your page and which articles are most accessed.
3. Know Your Persona
Even before writing your digital book, you need to know the reader’s profile to create content that is aligned with their needs.
This type of information is also important when choosing the best channels to promote your ebook.
4. Optimize The Production of Your Content
If you already have content published on the same subject in your ebook, you can use it to create your digital book.
Blog posts, videos, or podcasts can become more complete material on the subject, and the reverse can happen too: an ebook can become smaller content for your blog or YouTube channel.
When we talk about a digital product, it’s always good to think about multi-channel strategies. This way you will be able to reach more people with your content and optimize your production time.
5. Organize and Structure The Elements of Your Digital Book
Once you have decided on the theme, the persona, and your objective, it is time to decide which elements you will cover on your ebook.
Make a draft on each one and organize the chapters coherently, to keep the reader interested.
It’s important to justify your ideas, so do good online research on what has already been written and what is newer in the discussion of the topic you want to talk about.
Remember that your text must be easy to understand and, at the same time, it must offer all the information your reader needs to solve his or her problem.
Keyword search tools, such as Google Keyword Planner, can help you a lot with the selection of topics.
These tools help you understand the interests of your target audience. As a result, you will be able to organize your content more efficiently.
6. Illustrate Your Ebook
The use of images helps reading and leaves the content more attractive, especially when the subject is very technical.
You have two options to use pictures on your digital book, without the high cost.
The first option is to use images from your personal folder or to produce your own images, which will not cause you any problems with copyrights.
In this case, the only requirement is that the photos are in high resolution and that they are related to the content being discussed.
The second option is to use photos from image banks. On the internet, there are several available, even free of charge. Here are our recommendations:
Search site that brings together thousands of royalty-free photos at affordable prices.
Pexels is free, so you can use the images there for your personal project or for commercial use.
More than 5,000 photos and 8,000 illustrations for free use.
Over one million royalty free photos, illustrations, and vector graphics.
The advantage of image banks is that you save one step in the ebook creation process and you are sure to get high-quality images.
7. Choose The Format of Your Ebook (PDF or Epub)
The main difference between the two formats concerns the adaptation of the texts to the reader’s screen.
An ebook in the Epub format is reformattable, i.e. it offers the possibility of adapting the text and the size of the source automatically to the available display area.
Nevertheless, files available in PDF always maintain the same format as the printed version, regardless of the display area.
Features of Epub :
- Allow text resizing and source modification;
- Allow word search and insertion of highlighted parts;
- It is possible to change the page using the touch;
- Ideal for simpler ebooks without a lot of images.
Features of PDF files :
- They exactly reproduce the printed page model;
- Allows you to enlarge or reduce the page to better display the content;
- The navigation bar can be used to browse the pages;
- Ideal for more complex ebooks, where the number of images is significant and the format is more complex.
Again, your audience profile will choose: Is your consumer used to using mobile reading devices like tablets, or do they use the desktop instead?
8. Pay Attention to The Layout
In addition to being well written, your ebook must have a good layout. This will give a more professional look to the work.
One of the factors that most influence the user’s experience is the reader’s ability to take a look at your content and already know what it is about.
Pay attention to very long parts and check if you can separate them without disturbing the consistency of the text.
Another important tip is to choose images that are related to the topic you are discussing. This visual consistency helps increase consumer loyalty to your product.
And, finally, the visual identity of your ebook should be aligned with your other communication channels, such as websites and social networks.
The intention is to make money with the free, so if you are not familiar with the formatting tool and implementation, analyze the possibility of hiring a professional to perform the task.
9. Review The Content
When we are focused on content, a few details can go unnoticed. For this, we recommend having an external perspective. This ensures that you are running the best possible version of your material.
The revision of your ebook should have two steps: content revision and grammar revision.
From a content perspective, your text must be clear and objective. Ask for feedback from people in your market and outside, and ask them the main questions about the content.
For grammar review, consider hiring an editor, as this professional is more experienced at identifying errors in handwriting, accent, and tuning, almost invisible to those with no experience on the subject.
It is always good to remember that the Internet allows a certain informality, but this does not mean that you have to deliver complex or erroneous texts.
10. Set The Price of Your Product
As we said at the beginning, the ebook serves the different stages of your sales funnel and can even be your main product.
Generally, an ebook used to attract leads, also known as “digital bait”, is distributed free of charge, in exchange for the contact information of the downloader.
For obvious reasons, this strategy has no immediate financial return. You will need to nurture a relationship with these users if you want to convince them to make the purchase. Nevertheless, this model has shown excellent results for entrepreneurs who wish to have a recurrence business.
In case your ebook is your main product, its price will depend on the value you deliver to your audience.
In fact, good design wins people’s trust and screams “high quality!” Exactly what you need to stand out from the crowd, and sell more at a higher price.
If your content is of high added value, equivalent to a course on a subject, feel free to put a value above what is charged in the market.
11. Choose The Distribution Platform
After your ebook is ready, it’s time to set :
- How do I deliver my ebook after the sale?
- How to receive payments by internet?
- How to guarantee that my content will not be replicated by third parties?
To answer these questions, choose an online course distribution platform.
The platform you choose should have all the tools and infrastructure for all the details of the sales process so that you can only worry about creating a quality product.
12. Promote Your Ebook
Create strategies to publicize your work. Don’t forget to focus on the channels where your audience is most present.
Tips for promoting the ebook:
Promote your work on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and any other social networking sites that your target audience uses.
Don’t forget to leave the CTA clear for your subscribers to download your ebook.
Contact the sites that provide content related to the theme of your ebook and offer articles for publication, also known as guest posts.
This strategy is also good to strengthen your domain, very good for future launches.
Create a blog on the theme of your ebook, to create a network of contacts with individuals interested in the theme, and use the tool to market your ebook.
Through an affiliate program you can offer a commission to all those who sell your ebook, you can still define what the value of this commission is.
Build an email list of people interested in your content. From this, you will be able to communicate with your audience directly and promote your ebook.
The landing page is ideal for highlighting your content and making it easy for users to download your material. Today there are several free tools for creating landing pages for people who have no knowledge of design or programming.
If you don’t have a lot of traffic on your blog, use sponsored links to give visibility to your ebook.
This technique consists in paying the network of search engines, such as Google, to display ads that direct the user to your landing page.
13. Follow The Results
You wrote the ebook, paid attention to every detail, and put it online. You have the right to celebrate this result, but after that, get ready for the follow-up step.
This work is fundamental to understand the weak points of your promotion and optimize them for better conversion rates.

How Much Does it Cost to Start a Blog
Are you wondering how much does it cost to start a blog or start a blogging business? In this article, what we’re gonna do for you is break this down into two sections. One is your first three months of blogging and then what you can expect after that.
I know that many of you are interested in starting a successful blogging business but you just haven’t taken those steps forward. You might have seen online that people are making a lot of money blogging and be really like weighing the pros and cons of starting a successful blog.
Because we want to outline really what your most important expenses are at the beginning and show you that you can actually get started for a very reasonable amount.
We get this question all the time: how much it costs to actually start my blog?
We know many of you are sitting there considering doing it.
You probably have seen the income that people are making blogging. You’re like “I’m really considering doing this” but you’re probably feeling a little overwhelmed by the financial decisions that you have to make.
We want to clarify this for you so you can make the right decision.
The Blogging Mindset You Should Have When Starting
The first thing that we want to talk about is that when starting out you really have to treat your blog like a business. It’s important to remember that a new blog is very distinct from any purchasing activity because it’s an actual business.
When you start a blog, you’re actually starting a business that can bring you money.
Keep in mind that as a business there’s always a risk that you won’t make any money with your blog. Although we are in the belief that if you don’t give up, it’s really going to be hard for you to fail.
One of the distinctions I would say between blogging and other businesses is that blogging is just not a get-rich-quick scheme.
So you have to understand and accept that you’re gonna have to make investments in your business for that profitability over time.
It’s more of a long-term play than it’s a short-term play.
Why You Should Avoid Free Blog Software
Let’s talk about why you should avoid free blogging software before we get into specific finances.
If you start a blog on the cheap you can expect cheap results.
What specifically tell people is that there’s no such thing as a free lunch, somebody always has to be paid, right?
So if you start your free website on Wix, the people who run those ads that have to get paid somehow. They’re going to get you to give them your money somehow down the road.
Let’s say you have a blog and you’re getting a few thousand subscribers or some readers, they’re gonna be like “hey! your traffic’s maxed out, now you have to pay us”.
You’re going to have to pay some amount of money at some point.
If you want to be successful, don’t go with the free option first. Go with a higher quality option which is WordPress.
Free Blog Hosting
Another thing that people do, is to start out on a free platform like blogger or free WordPress.
Free blog hosting platforms are incredibly limited.
They’re gonna be limited on what they allow. For instance, they don’t allow you to advertise, and they’re going to be limited to how much bandwidth you can use.
You don’t want to be limited in making a business and making a blog by using these free blog platforms.
Free Blog Theme
A free blog theme is another way that people try to avoid money.
This one is probably the most important thing you can spend money on. Because most free themes don’t allow you to make simple customizations like changing the color, even changing your menu, etc.
So with a free blog theme, you’re going to run into a ton of problems.
When you are opt-in for something free, you are never going to get as high-quality as something else.
Free Email Marketing
If you want to make money from your blog as quickly as possible then you need to start building an email list right away.
If you’re new, email marketing might be way over your head to start. But this is the same thing goes is that people try to start with free everything.
Because they just think that free is the way to go. It’s really not the way to go.
How Much Does it Cost to Start a Blog?
If you are trying to make money from your blog, you will have to spend money to make it.
Blog Expenses in The First 3 Months of Blogging
The good news is that the expected costs of you starting a blog is not going to be that much.
Let’s walk through what you can expect from starting a blog.
Bluehost is the top provider recommended by WordPress. You can sign up for a 12, 24, or 36-month plan.
This is going to end up costing you about $59 to $95, depending on what plan you sign up with.
That’s one of the expenses you will have and trust me this is the way you want to go.
WordPress is the only place you want to be if you want to get massive traffic and have a fast website. You don’t use Wix or Squarespace.
If you start on Wix and you start to get traffic and your website’s slow, you’ll eventually have to switch to WordPress anyway. So start on WordPress.
Estimated Blog Hosting Costs: $59 (one year) to $95 (three years).
A blog theme is a tool that allows you to customize the appearance of your website, including the layout, color, typography, etc.
Premium themes usually have a reliable code base and offer support if something goes wrong.
The funny thing is people will try to save $60 by getting a free theme. But they’ll end up spending many hours trying to get that theme to look the way they want to.
Usually what ends up happening is people get frustrated and they quit.
Divi theme is probably the first recommendation for new bloggers.
Another great theme is called the Avada theme. If Divi isn’t right for you, you can try out Avada as well.
Avada is very customizable and beginner-friendly. It comes to a lower price tag of $60 as a one-time payment and not a yearly payment as Divi.
Estimated Blog Theme Costs: $60 to $89.
Email Marketing Service
Email marketing service is very important. The lifeblood of blogging and making an income blogging is having a solid email list.
Even though MailChimp is your best free option, it’s really only free until your first 2000 subscribers, and MailChimp obviously is going to be significantly limited compared to other services.
The software that we recommend the beginners is actually ConvertKit. You can actually try it for free. We have a special link where you can have a free trial to testing out ConvertKit.
It’s the simple best email marketing software for bloggers. ConvertKit saves you tons of time and helps you focus on content creation.
Estimated Email Marketing Costs: $29/month (first month free)
Social Media Tools
We recommend Social Media Warfare and the Tailwind app.
Social Media Warfare allows your content to be shared. It’s actually very cheap.
Tailwind is something that you use for Pinterest. If you’re a blogger, Pinterest is sort of the peanut butter to the jelly of blogging.
So we added in another $10 to $30 per month.
Estimated cost in the first 3 months:
- First Month: $119
- 2-3 Months: $39
We believe that is the bare-bones minimum of doing it the right way.
Obviously, as your business grows, your spending will increase (the courses you buy, the products that you need to run a successful blog, and the hosting package you need will grow over time).
Thankfully, and if you’re doing it right, your income will be growing over time as well.
So it won’t be so hard to pay off the expenses as they grow over time.
Blog Expenses After 3+ Months of Blogging
After the initial “start a blog” phase, including set up and website design, you will start focusing on bringing visitors to your site and monetization.
Depending on how fast you move, you will reach this stage one month after starting.
if you are good with WordPress, you can get a blog started and set up within a month. It’s not that hard once you have the right tools and the right roadmap to do it.
At this stage, you are going to start incurring some additional costs of growing your blog.
These costs will grow as your blog grows. So they are harder to estimate because it based on how quickly you grow your blog.
If you are growing really fast and you’re getting a ton of traffic, your expenses are gonna be a little bit higher for those who are starting out a little bit slower.
Investment in Courses
The learning process is not stopping because the internet is always changing and there is always more to learn! If you’re starting out, it’s just not gonna stop at the very beginning.
So as you’ll continue to grow and continue wanna make money, you’ll want to continue to invest in your blog.
Total estimated blogging costs After 3 Months:
- Regular software on a monthly basis: $50-$100/month
- Investment in courses: $150+ (optional)
This is going to be kind of an average thing that you do as you move forward.
The right mindset about going into blogging is that you make the best investment that will get you money back.
Another investment is your time investment. Obviously, this is going to be the biggest investment that you make at the beginning. You have to have a massive amount of time focused on your blog in order to make money.
Keep in mind that in order to make this work, you will have to invest a lot of time.
Let’s summarize It!
The First 3 Months of Blogging
- Blog Hosting: $59 to $95 ($2.65/month with our Bluehost discount)
- Blog Theme: $60-90 (#1 recommendation: Divi theme)
- Email Marketing: $29/month (first month free)
- Social Media Tools: $10-30/month (Social Pug + Tailwind)
Total Expected Costs in the First 3 Months of Blogging: $119 upfront + $39/month after that + optional blogging courses.
Expected Costs in the After 3+ Months of Blogging
- Other Software: $50+
- Additional Blogging Courses: Optional
These expenses will definitely grow over time. So just keep that in mind, these expenses will grow as you move forward.
